Jan. 8 event features discussions of current and future economic vision for the City
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside invites community members and industry experts to an economic development “Summit of Excellence” on Jan. 8 to discuss the current and future economic vision for the city.
“Economic development is a top priority in Riverside, and this day will be devoted to ensuring all stakeholders have a voice in how we move forward,” City Manager Mike Futrell said. “I am eager to frame a discussion about what we are doing well and areas where we can excel in the future.”
The summit will feature presentations and active discussions on current and future opportunities for economic development in Riverside. Topics include green technology, medical, aerospace, arts and tourism, and general technology.
The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Riverside County Office of Education Riverside Conference Center at 4280 Brockton Ave. The event is free and will include ASL and Spanish interpretation.
“We are strongest when we come together to chart a course forward as a unified community,” Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson said. “I look forward to hearing the community’s ideas.”
