City of Riverside to Launch Library-to-Go July 9
Curbside service for library materials pick-up to begin
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Branch libraries in the City of Riverside will launch Library-to-Go, a curbside pick-up service, on July 9.
Library card holders will be able to pick up Library-to-Go materials from library branches Tuesday-Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Main Library in downtown Riverside will not be part of Library-to-Go because library staff is preparing materials and equipment in that facility to move to a new Main Library just a few blocks away. The new Main Library should be completed in September and open to the public in late October or early November.
Library-to-Go is easy to use. Customers will be able to place items on hold online or via phone and will identify a library pickup location. Once the items placed on hold are available for pick-up, customers will receive a notification via email, text, or phone call. Library users will then go to the library they specified to pick-up items. At each location there will be signage with specific call-in instructions for customers to contact staff to bring requested items outside for pickup.
