Homicide Investigation

RIVERSIDE, CA – On Sunday, June 25, 2017, at approximately 9:19 p.m., the Riverside Police and Fire Dispatch Center received several calls regarding a shooting that just occurred behind the gas station located in the 7400 block of Indiana Avenue. Officers and Paramedics arrived and located a Hispanic male adult on the east side of the business suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives from the Robbery – Homicide Unit and Technicians from the Forensics Unit responded to assume the investigation. They are being assisted by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office and the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner. The identity of the deceased is pending the Coroner’s investigation.
