Riverside’s Human Relations Commission is offering students a chance to win a scholarship worth up to $750. This wonderful opportunity is not exclusive to college-going students, and there is no minimum GPA requirement to participate. To enter, please submit a creative writing piece incorporating the HRC’s mission statement themes of equity, diversity and equal opportunity. Along with their entry, participants must include a cover letter explaining how they plan to use the prize money to further their education or training towards their goals. This may include funding a summer coding camp, taking art classes, typing certification, training and apprenticeship programs-the sky’s the limit!
Who: High school juniors and seniors
What: In alignment with the Human Relations Commission's (HRC) mission statement, the HRC is awarding scholarships to Riverside students that may not qualify for traditional scholarships
How: Submit entries to [email protected] by June 10th, 2019
Requirements: 500 word maximum creative writing piece related to the mission statement of the HRC. Ex: poem, song, essay etc. Participants must include a cover letter explaining how they plan to use the prize money for education or training towards their goals
