OFFICER OBSERVES ILLEGAL STREET BURNOUTS AND MAKES ARREST
Early this morning around 1:45 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018, one of our patrol officers assigned to Watch A was in the area of Arlington Avenue and Ben Lomand Way, in the Arlanza neighborhood, when she observed a vehicle doing burnouts and driving erratically. The officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver. A records check showed the driver was out on bail for carjacking. Also, there were two juveniles sharing the front passenger seat with no seatbelts during the burnouts.
Elisei Seulean, 20-years-old of Riverside, was arrested and later booked into jail for felony child endangerment, reckless driving, and committing a crime while out on bail. His vehicle was impounded since it was not street legal, and the two juveniles were released to a responsible adult.
This kind of reckless driving and stunt maneuvers cause a dangerous environment for not only the driver, passengers, or spectators involved, but also the general public. The Riverside Police Department will continue to take any appropriate enforcement action against those who wish to engage in this type of illegal behavior on our roadways.
