Riverside Encourages Adults to Play Ball
RIVERSIDE, CA – The City of Riverside, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department invites adults over the age of 18 to explore how “Parks Make Life Better” by participating in the Adult Volleyball and Men’s Adult Basketball Leagues. These recreational sports leagues offer a chance for families, friends, businesses and organizations to get together for weekly, friendly competition.
The Men’s Adult Basketball League consists of two age brackets for players ages 18 and over and 30 and over. The cost per team is $300 Resident/$345 Non Resident for a 10-week league along with a $25 officiating fee charged per team prior to the start of each game. League play for the 18 and over league begins Monday, October 2 and 30 and over begins Tuesday, October 3. Teams are now forming to be played at Hunt and Orange Terrace Parks.
The Adult Volleyball League consists of a Women’s League and a Co-ed League, ages 18 and over. The cost per team is $200 Resident/$245 Non Resident for a 10-week league along with a $12 officiating fee charged per team prior to the start of each game. League play for the Women’s league teams begins Wednesday, October 4 and the coed league begins Thursday, October 5. Teams are now forming for the season that will be played at Hunt and Nichols Parks.
Registration is accepted online at RivReg.org or at any local community center.
