Riverside Doors Open Event to Highlight Architecture Across City
Event on June 11 will give the public a chance to see inside iconic buildings
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Riverside Doors Open, a community-centered program that gives the public an opportunity to look inside architecturally significant buildings in Riverside, is returning Saturday, June 11, from 1-4 p.m.
The free event is a partnership between the City of Riverside, the Riverside Downtown Partnership, and the Mission Inn Museum and Foundation. It provides access to multiple historic buildings, including some that are not usually open to the public.
Details, including a map of locations that will be open to the public, can be found here: https://riversideca.gov/doorsopen/
Doors Open events began more than 30 years ago in France and has since spread across Europe, North America, and Australia. These events provide free access to captivating historic sites that are usually closed to the public, increasing awareness of interesting architecture and the community’s collective heritage.
