Riverside Introduces Adaptive Sports Day
RIVERSIDE, CA – Let’s get out there and play! The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is partnering with the Desert Recreation District and with SoCal Adaptive Sports to introduce Adaptive Sports Day. This fun-filled event offers exciting sports opportunities and an improved quality of life experience for individuals challenged by physical limitations. Participants are given the opportunity to put their skills to the test in a variety of popular sports including soccer, basketball, pickleball, boccia ball, frisbee, volleyball, tennis, golf, baseball and more! This one-day inclusive event encourages recognition and representation for underrepresented individuals regardless of their abilities and skill level. All participants are given a fair opportunity to play while enjoying the experience of teamwork, and comradery through healthy competition and fun. The City of Riverside and its partners look forward to providing an excellent experience for physically limited individuals while promoting a healthy, fun, and engaging lifestyle.
Adaptive Sports Day is FREE and open to all ages. Pre-registration is required for all participating individuals.
This event occurs Saturday, December 11 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and will be held at Reid Park – 701 N. Orange St. in Riverside.
