RIVERSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT NOW RECRUITING FOR TEEN ACADEMY
RIVERSIDE, CA – The Riverside Police Department is now accepting applications for Teen Academy, which begins June 13, 2019, and continues through August 1, 2019. Recruitment is now open through May 3, 2019, or until the class is full.
This course is designed to give teens an overview of the department’s operational methods, and provide insight as to how police personnel perform their duties. Most sessions will be held in the Riverside Police Department’s Community Room, located at 10540 Magnolia Avenue, Suite B, on Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Class size is limited and applications will only be accepted via the RPD website. Applicants must also be able to pass an informal background check. All sessions are in a classroom setting and require someone to be able to lift up to 15 lbs. and stand for up to three hours. Also, applicants must live or attend school in the city of Riverside.
