Seniors and Disabled Residents in Riverside Can Get Free Transportation to Vote
Rides must be scheduled in advance with Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Senior citizens and disabled individuals in Riverside who want to vote between now and Nov. 3 can get a free ride to and from ballot drop-off locations and voter assistance locations, courtesy of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department’s Special Transportation Division.
The rides must be scheduled in advance and are available to disabled residents and seniors 60 years or older that live within the city limits. Qualifying individuals who want to use the service to vote should call the Special Transportation Division at 951-687-8080.
Operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends. More information about paratransit services can be found at www.riv-connect.com.
